Handwashing is not just a daily routine — this simple practice can save lives. For the second consecutive year, longtime U.S. Fund for UNICEF partner, Kimberly-Clark, has launched the Global Handwashing Day Challenge in recognition of Global Handwashing Day. Through The Healthy Workplace Project* and in partnership with KLEENEX® Brand family of products and the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, the initiative invites everyone to be a “A Handwashing Champion” by promoting safe sanitation and hygiene practices. Participants can also complete an online crossword puzzle to test their knowledge of hygiene and sanitation facts. You might be surprised by the answers! The campaign runs through November 1. Whether you are a student, teacher, or employee, you can take three easy steps to HYGIENIFY!* – wash, wipe, sanitize. After taking the pledge and completing the crossword puzzle, you can vote on which UNICEF lifesaving project should receive a $50,000 donation**, courtesy of the Kimberly-Clark Foundation. Kimberly-Clark is committed to spreading the message that washing hands with soap at critical moments is an easy and affordable way to save lives.
