Last night, over 400 of UNICEF's Next Generation's friends and family gathered to view photos capturing UNICEF's extraordinary work all over the world.

The event took place at New York City's Phillips de Pury and Company overlooking the Highline to benefit Next Generation's Project Pakistan: Supporting Community and Lady Health Workers in the region.

44 beautiful photographs by Next Gen Steering Committee members, UNICEF Ambassadors, Lucy Liu and Alyssa Milano and others were sold in the silent auction, which raised money above and beyond the event's goal. The crowd enjoyed fabulous hors d'oeuvres, an open wine bar, and great music as they shopped for amazing FEED Projects items that benefit UNICEF (selling more than 100 FEED products!).

A UNICEF tent filled with items UNICEF uses in the field every day to fulfill their lifesaving work (malaria nets, water purification tablets, micronutrient sprinkles. etc) was on display.

Mia Baxter, Next Gen Steering Committee member and one of the main photographers of the evening, spoke about the importance of photography and how the photographs on display "are windows into UNICEF's work and the lives of the children they help every single day."

Lauren Bush, Next Gen Steering Committee member and Co-Founder & CEO of FEED Projects spoke about her passion for UNICEF's Next Generation, her experience in the field with UNICEF and encouraged everyone to join UNICEF's Next Generation; she said "join us in showing the global community that no child should die of a preventable cause."

U.S. Fund for UNICEF's Senior Vice President of Program and Strategic Partnerships, Cynthia McCaffrey, explained how UNICEF's Next Generation is UNICEF's future.

UNICEF will use the funding raised from last night's event to train Pakistani women as Community and Lady Health workers to teach families how to access lifesaving health and nutrition services. These women often provide the first line of defense against disease and malnutrition in remote rural areas of the country.

It was a fun-filled, educational night - great people, incredible cause and a fabulous evening! We can't wait for next year!

Special thanks to Phillips de Pury & Company, curator Kate Greenberg, Loupe Digital, Calumet Photographic, Décor Art Gallery, DJ Neil Jackson, Maison Louis Latour Family of Wines & Artlog for donating your services. Also thanks to Lauren Bush, Mia Baxter, and the entire photo benefit committee for all of their help. The night could not have been done without you!
