Giorgio Armani Fragrances’ Acqua for Life Campaign Celebrates Five Years

Happy fifth birthday, Acqua for Life! Giorgio Armani Fragrances has been supporting the UNICEF Tap Project -- a nationwide campaign that helps provide the world’s children with access to safe, clean water -- each March for the past five years.

In March 2010, Giorgio Armani Fragrances debuted “Acqua for Life,” its “water for life” campaign to raise funds and awareness to support UNICEF’s water, sanitation and hygiene programs for children. Five years and $1.8 million in donations later, Giorgio Armani Fragrances returns for its fifth year as National Sponsor of the UNICEF Tap Project.

This year, from March 1-31, the company will donate $5 to the United States Fund for UNICEF for each Acqua di Giò and Acqua di Gioia spray cologne or gift set purchased in the 50 United States, Puerto Rico or D.C. through authorized distributors. With just $5, UNICEF can provide water purification tablets to ensure a child has safe water for 200 days.

In addition, this year, the UNICEF Tap Project invites you to take a challenge: go without your phone to help give clean water for children in need. For every ten minutes you don’t touch your phone from March 1-31 through the UNICEF Tap Project mobile web app at www.uniceftapproject.org, Giorgio Armani Fragrances will donate the funding equivalent* of one day of water for a child in need, up to $75,000, to support UNICEF water and sanitation programs. Giorgio Armani Fragrances will make a minimum guaranteed donation of $500,000 from all Acqua for Life promotions during this period.

Thank you, Giorgio Armani Fragrances, for your continued commitment to helping children around the world gain access to clean water.
