Ebola Response: Thank You to Our Generous Partners and Supporters

The Ebola outbreak in West Africa is the deadliest in history: more than 15,000 cases have been reported since March, and over 5,400 people have died. The impact of the crisis doesn't stop there: the outbreak has diminished food supplies and crippled health systems, putting children at greater risk of malnutrition and infection from preventable diseases.

UNICEF has been on the ground across West Africa, airlifting supplies, training health workers and caring for children and their families. UNICEF and its partners have reached at least 5.5 million people in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, distributing critical information and essential supplies to health workers and affected communities.

As the response continues, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF would like to take a moment to acknowledge first responders to the emergency—individuals and organizations who have generously donated to support UNICEF's work in Ebola-affected countries.
