Unite for Children, Unite Against AIDS (2006)

Forty million people currently live with HIV/AIDS.  AIDS has killed one or both of the parents of fifteen million children worldwide.  This video describes UNICEF’s three-pronged strategy to combat the HIV/AIDS epidemic.  In this strategy UNICEF seeks to prevent mothers from passing HIV/AIDS to their unborn children, look after children orphaned by AIDS, and educate and empower young people to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS. UNICEF believes that these methods will not only reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS, they will, in time, eradicate the disease altogether. (9 min 8 sec)
