In 2010 Amgen, a leading biotechnology company, and the U.S. Fund for UNICEF joined forces to provide immediate, lifesaving aid to the children of Haiti in the aftermath of the earthquake. Such engagement illustrates Amgen's focus on improving the lives of communities around the world.

Amgen Foundation, an integral part of Amgen's corporate philanthropy, was launched in 1991. To date, the Foundation has contributed more than $140 million to nonprofit organizations across the United States, Puerto Rico and Europe that reflect Amgen's core values and complement Amgen's dedication to impacting lives in inspiring and innovative ways. 

Partnership Summary

Amgen was one of the U.S. Fund's leading corporate supporters of the emergency response in Haiti. Directly following the earthquake, the Amgen Foundation and Amgen employees from around the world generously donated funds, which enabled UNICEF to provide urgently needed supplies for Haiti's children. Their significant contributions have played a critical role in UNICEF's relief and recovery efforts.
