Liv Tyler was appointed U.S. Fund for UNICEF Ambassador in 2003 and gives her wholehearted support to UNICEF in a variety of ways.

In November 2004, Liv lit the UNICEF Snowflake, which graces the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street in New York City each holiday season.  The UNICEF Snowflake serves as a beacon of hope, peace and compassion for vulnerable children around the world.

Liv supported the 2004 Pier 1 "Kids Helping Kids" greeting card contest and shared the UNICEF Snowflake lighting honors with the 2004 contest winners.

Liv served as spokesperson for the 2004 Givenchy Mother's Day promotion. For every gift set sold, Givenchy donated $1.20 to UNICEF's Maternal & Neonatal Tetanus (MNT) campaign to save mothers and newborns from tetanus infections.

In April 2003, Liv attended the Audrey Hepburn Auction at Sotheby's in a show of her commitment to children worldwide and her support of UNICEF's education programs.
