Here's the latest on his efforts for the world's children.

Traveled to Ghana, Cameroon and South Africa in 1995 and lobbied for salt iodization programs and promotion of basic health and safe water systems.

In November 1995, he hosted the 4th annual "Bids for Kids" celebrity auction in Chicago.  Proceeds from the auction went to benefit women's and children's health programs in Nepal.

Recipient of the 1994 Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award in recognition of his visionary advocacy on behalf of children worldwide.

Hand painted ties for the UNICEF "Knots for Tots" Father's Day fundraiser, raising not only money but also public awareness of UNICEF programs.
