Korean Radio Broadcasting donates $210,000 to assist UNICEF’s Haiti relief efforts
Korean Radio Broadcasting, the only Korean language radio station in New York City, has raised $210,000 for UNICEF’s relief efforts in Haiti, which it presented to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF today.

UNICEF shipment to meet basic needs of 50,000 children arriving in Haiti
The U.S. Fund for UNICEF announced today the arrival of care packages for 50,000 children in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This shipment of supplies from the U.S. is occurring under unprecedented circumstances; the need for basic necessities in Haiti is so great and so urgent that UNICEF is also expediting toiletries, clothing, footwear, blankets and mats to the affected areas.

1199 SEIU United Healthcare Workers East donates $1 million to UNICEF for Haiti earthquake emergency relief
1199 SEIU United Healthcare Workers East—the largest healthcare workers union in the country—today announced that it is donating $1 million to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF for earthquake relief and recovery efforts in Haiti. In doing so, the union announced a special UNICEF fundraising drive among its membership as part of a broader collective effort to mobilize the community and offer resources to those affected by the crisis in Haiti.
