Jenna Bush Shares a Journey of Hope in Ana's Story

Ana's StoryJenna Bush, daughter of President George W. Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush, interned with UNICEF in Latin America and the Caribbean from September 2006 through May 2007.

Based on her experience, she wrote Ana's Story, a personal, narrative nonfiction account of a girl who struggles to break free from a vicious cycle of abuse, poverty and illness.

In 2007, Jenna traveled across the U.S., speaking at schools, bookstores and libraries about Ana and UNICEF's lifesaving work. "I hope the book will inspire you to make a difference for children like Ana," she said.

Published by Harper Teen, the book is on sale now. As of October 6, 2008, $473,000 has been donated to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF via the author's net proceeds and fundraising efforts surrounding the publication of Ana's Story.
