Jason Rotter is a founding member of UNICEF'S Next Generation Steering Committee in New York.  He recently moved back to his hometown, Chicago, where he is Co-Vice Chair of the Chicago Next Generation Steering Committee. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver in Business, with a focus on Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management.

Jason had the opportunity to visit Next Generation’s lifesaving work in Guatemala, where their contributions supported UNICEF’s efforts to fight chronic malnutrition with easy-to-use micronutrient supplements that mothers can give to their newborns. The program led to nationwide adoption of the strategy by the Government of Guatemala.

Jason is most passionate about Next Generation’s work in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where they built a first-of-its kind, state-of-the-art neonatology clinic, to support the most vulnerable of premature babies; the clinic is being used as a model for the future of health care in Ethiopia. He is committed to reaching the day when ZERO children die from conditions we can prevent, treat or cure and looks forward to continuing his work with Next Generation and the U.S. Fund for UNICEF.
