Richard

Richard Esserman has been Vice President, Finance and Budget of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF since 2002. Before joining the U.S. Fund, he was Vice President and Controller at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation from 1987 to 2002. Esserman previously held senior management positions at the top-50 accounting firm Mitchell & Titus and several public accounting firms.

Food interventions are crucial as Somalia faces worst-case scenario

Malnutrition is one of the biggest challenges facing Somali children today and according to an upcoming UN report, it could be getting worse. The report, to be issued by the Food Security Analysis Unit of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, indicates a worst-case scenario, according to UNICEF Representative in Somalia Christian Balslev-Olesen.
