Albert J. Kaneb chairs Barnstable Broadcasting, Inc., which operates 19 radio stations in Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia and New York. He was previously President and co-owner of Northeast Petroleum Industries, a wholesale and retail petroleum distributor. Kaneb serves on the boards of the St. Francis House Homeless Day Shelter, the Notre Dame Education Center and Brigham & Women's Hospital Center of Neurological Disease, all in Boston. He is also an Honorary Life Director of the National MS Society and a Trustee of Cornell University.

Food interventions are crucial as Somalia faces worst-case scenario

Malnutrition is one of the biggest challenges facing Somali children today and according to an upcoming UN report, it could be getting worse. The report, to be issued by the Food Security Analysis Unit of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, indicates a worst-case scenario, according to UNICEF Representative in Somalia Christian Balslev-Olesen.
