Another Dramatic Drop Brings ZERO Closer than Ever
The number of under-five child deaths has dropped more than 40 percent since 1990 – a figure that demonstrates it is possible to radically reduce child mortality.
As of today, we can report that number is 19,000. That means 7,000 more young children are alive each day.
We understand that these are painful numbers. Even one preventable child death is too many.
But the number is declining, and with your help, we can make it go down even faster.
Impossible ideas don't become real until someone believes... our new film tells the story.
Stand with the world's children. Sign our ZERO pledge.
We've created some tools to make it easy for you to help us spread the word about ZERO.
The majority of deaths occur among the poorest 20% of families in developing countries.
UNICEF believes in the day when ZERO children die of conditions we can prevent, treat or cure.
The solutions exist right now.
We need a chorus of voices to help us make ZERO a reality.
Please stand with UNICEF and the world’s children.
